Sitting Nirvana

Steelcase Leap

New chair for the home office. This replaces my Herman Miller Equa2, which was a good chair but need reupholstering and once that is done will become the province of my girlfriend's desk.

I tried the Aeron, Humanscale Freedom and several other chairs. The Leap was the only one that just felt right when I first sat on it. The Aeron tends to cut off blood flow in my legs. The Humanscale falls backwards too easily.

What is interesting about the Leap is that there are no pressure points. You sit in it, and you float. You lean forward, and the front gives way. Lean backwards, and same thing. It takes a bit of getting used to.

I bought it last night at Target Commercial Interiors for $625. They carry black in stock, other colors(of which there are hundreds) are available on special order. This store is fantastic, as they have a return policy on in stock merchandise. So if the chair does suck, I can bring it back.
