A few months ago Hibernation stopped working on my Dell Inspiron E1505. Not sure at what point, but I suspect it was after a round of Microsoft security patches.
Hibernation would work the first time, but then after that would throw an error "Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API." until the machine was rebooted.
Well, Microsoft finally released a patch. KB909095
